The new Sexual and Gender-based Harassment Code of Practice 2025 creates a strong need for practical, workplace-focused awareness training that goes beyond compliance and helps people recognise, prevent, respond to, and report inappropriate behaviour safely and lawfully.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Explain what sexual and gender-based harassment is
Understand employer and worker obligations under WHS legislation
Recognise behaviours, risks, and workplace factors that contribute to harassment
Identify psychosocial hazards associated with inappropriate workplace behaviours
Respond appropriately as a worker, supervisor, or manager
Understand reporting pathways and support options
Contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace culture
Apply practical prevention and intervention strategies

Damien Wilson

Damien brings 15 years of experience as an officer under the WHS Act 2012 (SA), combined with nationally recognised training in WHS, WHS consulting, and developing WHS apps to the creation of directed positive duty work health and safety training for individuals and organisations. Damien also provides a depth of knowledge and skills in providing ICT training and consulting, specialising in “plain English” explanations, and the Microsoft Office suite of products. Having recently completed the Undergraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity and Networking, Damien is conversant with the current technologies and techniques to ensure a safe and secure experience when working with IT systems both as a user and the organisation. Damien’s skills in business, financial management and regulatory compliance are not only applied to our own organisation, but also to several community organisations as a board member and/or treasurer including South Gambier Football Club, Limestone Coast Women’s Football League (of which Damien has also served as secretary and vice-chair), and Spare Ya Change 4 Kids, and as a volunteer for Four Reasons Why.
